1235 c. By/Mtn. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}8/MH.{M. Huckerby} 5th. October 1938. Messrs. Alexander Duckham & Co. Ltd., Duckham House, 16-18, Cannon Street, LONDON, E.C.4. For the attention of Mr.Robarts. Dear Sirs, Thank you for your letter of October 4th. As you know we have been endeavouring to simplify the lubricants recommended in our instruction book. We no longer mention Duckham's 'HBB' grease for the water pump because it is unsuitable. As Rolls-Royce owners have to keep Vacuum Mobil-grease No. 2 for the universal joints, and because this grease is suitable for the wheel shells, we have decided not to recommend any other. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
