EXPERIMENTAL CARS. X180 X8770

We propose getting rid of the Phantom car which Mr. Royce has been using (7-EX). It will be necessary for this car to be overhauled before it can be sold. There are one or two small experimental pieces on it, but the chief feature is that the body is mounted on a subframe. The subframe body mounting is now no longer an experiment. On 7-EX car is has run 25000 miles, and on other cars we have run well over 50,000 miles. As the subframe is built into the body and it would mean scrapping the body to get rid of it, and we have no use for the body on any other chassis, we see no reason at all why the car should not be sold fitted with the subframe mounted body. There is nothing to indicate it is mounted on a subframe from outside appearance. In any case we propose handing this car over to Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} immediately after Christmas. We should be glad therefore if you will take up with Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} direct what you would like doing with this car.
