We thank you for your letter of the 14th inst., and in reference to the various points enumerated we beg to say that:- (1) We regret to note that a reply has not been sent to your letter of 31st January, but the question has been given attention and we are reverting to the method of locating the rotor arm on the wheel by means of a brass plate milled to fit the arm. Gear wheels in various stages of manufacture in our shops are fitted with such a plate and we hope to have such gear wheels ready for use in magnetos within a day or two. (2) The four E.W.6 Magnetos Nos. 100082, 100093/6/7 will have continuous cam rings fitted and we hope to complete this work and return them to you within a few days, the fixture for grinding these cams being now completed. (3) The continuous cam on magneto No. 106012 is symmetrical both the make and break being tangential. In our experiments with the continuous cam ring we were convinced that our previous view with regard to contact breaker | ||
