- 2 - (e) Wheel Drivers. (cont'd) (2) cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} We have cleared this fault by using a case hardened material for the driver. (3) In order to prevent locking of the driving teeth in the hub we have found it necessary to shorten the length of the teeth and increase their radial depth, so as to give a universal movement to the driving shaft. (f). The Angle of the Cone between the hub and the nut, which in the Bentley is only 10° and was always a trouble in regard to getting the wheel tight, has been altered to 30° with the result that the fixing of the wheel is solid, and creaking has been eliminated.
