Dear Robotham, I am writing to tell you about a big adventure I had with my Bentley last night. When coming up behind another car, I put on my brakes quite gently, as he was slowing down, my speed at the time being about twenty-five miles an hour. Immediately a terrific juddering set up in the front brakes. It felt as though the servos were chattering, in other words, going on and off very quickly. Naturally, I took my foot off the brake pedal at once, but this juddering went on for fully five seconds and made such a noise that people in a saloon car thirty yards ahead of me heard it. It shook the front of the car so badly that it broke both head light bulbs. It also set up quite a violent front wheel flap. I wonder if you could let me have your views on this and, if possible, a remedy. Could you tell me also if you have had any experience of it happening and whether you think it is likely to occur at high speeds, because, if it did, it would, in my opinion, be extremely dangerous. Appologising for bothering you, but I thought perhaps you would prefer it if I | ||
