There is little doubt that Barkers scheme is not easy enough to operate, and we think not very good in mechanical details, so something better is needed. Personally if one kept to dipping the lamps I prefer our simple, easily operated scheme, and at present I do not think we should trouble further unless desired by Sales. Some friends have said the Lucas moving reflector is good. I have had no experience, but do not like the idea of upsetting accurate optical work, also I understand the angle is very small, hardly enough to satisfy other users of the road. Here in France we have been using the more general spot light, and I think with proper changeover switch it is the best scheme of all. In addition it is so useful for direction signs. I cannot help thinking it is very important to help our buyers to get their cars fitted with everything that will give them the greatest satisfaction.- the whole thing becomes one.
