Two inner roller races were submitted from the steering
of chassis 3.CM.83.

One of these was worn for more than half the circumference
of the track. The other race was in good condition.

The damaged race was sectioned through the centre of the
worn area and diametrically opposite. The depth of case on
the unworn section was .024".

On sectioning the good race at two diametrically
opposite points the depth of case was .032" and .024".

Hardness tests on undamaged sections of the races
gave satisfactory results.

Worn roller race. Unworn roller race.
