BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} (crossed out) g.f.e. x3175. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/LG9.6.20. With reference to the measurements for Jacks - Height under rear axle - tyre inflated 14 1/2". " " tyre deflated 12 1/2". " " .front " - tyre inflated 9 3/4". " " tyre deflated 8 3/4". With bare wheels, no tyres at all - rear axle 11" front axle 6 1/4". We have not given the measurement under the Jack Pad on the front axle because the pad in its present position is useless owing to the fact that when the tyre is deflated the flat tyre spreads out so that it is impossible to get a Jack under the pad.
