-3- Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}17/R.31.5.37. If ever we should contemplate producing a car that is to represent economical transportation, then the side valve engine must receive serious consideration. It should be remembered that the cars which have staged Packards come back, and which by their sales are meeting with the approval of the British public, have exceedingly ordinary side valve engines. As a matter of interest we have taken the figures of performance published by the motoring papers and obtained a value for the 25/30 fitted with an Oldsmobile engine (which is almost exactly the same size as our present unit). The results are rather instructive, and are shown on curve 9. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
