E.J.Goldberg, Esq., - GCA-62.

We attach part of a letter from Mr. S.R.Stanbridge driver to the above, who for many years was one of our Inspection Department drivers, and we think you will be interested in his description of the experiments he has made in an endeavour to get over clutch slipping trouble due to oil vapour in the clutch housing.

You will note that Driver Stanbridge will be bringing his car to W. on August 21st in connection with rear axle noise and the engine being decarbonised. As regards the former, we should like to refer you to Memoranda 7221 and 7979, to which we would add that we agreed with Driver Stanbridge, who had discussed the question of the axle with Mr. Goldberg, that it should be attended to when next decarbonising became due.
