ENOTS OIL GUNS.

Referring to the sample small gun which you sent us for trial recently, this is rather too small. The minimum capacity required is midway between this and the existing standard gun.

The biggest trouble with this little gun was that it was possible to attain a pressure of no less than 1250 lbs/sq.in. by forcing it, and 800 lbs/sq.in. normally.

The standard guns without interference will reach the normal figure of 150 to 200 lbs/sq.in. and a maximum of 450 to 500 lbs/sq.in. which is for a special fast screw thread and of course, a larger piston.

We would recommend that they produce a gun for us which has a piston no smaller in diameter than standard, but merely of reduced stroke together with a special fast thread. If they wish to reduce the piston diameter then they must alter the thread correspondingly, as we consider it not safe to exceed the pressures obtained with the standard gun. Also we should require our usual right angle adaptor on the end.
