Mr. Becker - 3½ litre Bentley.

This car which recently ran a big end and a set of new Hall's bearings were fitted, came into Kingsbury on Saturday for minor attentions. Their inspector hearing of this, had the oil drained out of the sump as a precautionary measure. In doing so white metal was found in the oil drained. Mr. Clark rang me up and it was suggested that we should get the car in without the owner being aware. We have therefore promised to cure a piston slap which we knew of and at the same time we are going the strip down the engine to see what has gone.If it is one of the rod bearings that has broken, what is the position please. Is the forged metal ready. This Owner is one who goes on the Continent and thrashes the car.
