This type of scraper ring has a higher En value than existing scraper ring material so that with existing dimensions a higher cylinder wall pressure is obtained. There are no alterations to existing design E.60821, with this material rings to standard dimensions give 32.0 lbs/sq.in. wall pressure. These rings have run satisfactorily in France for 15,000 miles in 6-B-IV.
