Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd.,
DERBY.

For the attention of Mr. Robotham.

Dear Sirs,

In reference to your letter of the 28th inst., the writer has seen Mr. Hancock and we are somewhat at a loss to understand how the part to which you refer can have failed. The two parts converted are push fit and from those which we have tried a considerable amount of effort is required to get them apart. However, we are watching the job closely and have instructed our Inspection Departments to pay special attention to the point.

Mr. Hancock also drew our attention to a modification which he thinks ought to be made in respect of the machining of the carburetter flange on that side which carries the plate bracket and pillar on which the bell crank lever for the thermostat strangler control is mounted.

It would appear that Mr. Hancock's complaint would be met by fixing the flange with a cutter and tomorrow we shall send off to you a drawing indicating what we propose.

Yours faithfully,
THE ZENITH CARBURETTER CO. LTD.

A E Palmer
