RE STANDARDISATION OF ELLIOTT AMMETER.

With reference to the Elliott ammeter for which a standardisation sheet has recently been circulated, RJ. remarks :-

" Would it not be safer, before switching straight over to the Elliott ammeter, if we gave our orders half to them and half to the Weston Company to start with and find out which gave the best results ? "

We agree with RJ. that it would be a good plan before going completely over to the Elliott ammeter, if we went 50-50 between the Elliott and the Weston for a time.

Technically speaking the 50-50 division would be better taking effect on each of the two cars, but RY. will no doubt decide whether, from a policy point of view, it would not, as may be the case, be better to fit one chassis complete with Weston and one chassis complete with Elliotts.
