1282 To D {John DeLooze - Company Secretary} /L/AN. From Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Wym. {G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Wym. {G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} 10/EHT.28.10.40. With reference to your memo D {John DeLooze - Company Secretary} /WN.12GH.24.10.40 addressed to Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Gry. {Shadwell Grylls} re Petrol Ration Books, I am afraid the only books we can return relating to cars in Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 's Department are those belonging to RC. {R. Childs} 6496 RC. {R. Childs} 7477 RC. {R. Childs} 7854 RC. {R. Childs} 8039 FLX.755 Most of our cars are used either by officials of the Company or by the Transport Department and when we hand over a car for either use, the petrol ration book is handed with it, but in most cases we never see the ration book again. We understand, however, that it is not now necessary to return the old books to obtain new ones. Is this correct? Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Wym. {G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} | ||
