-2- Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.o/MA.8.6.34. Cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} All Goshawk engine plugs have ball ends for use either with the K.L.G. radio screened plug terminal which we have developed, or the unscreened Watford "snap on" plug terminal. P.V.12 engines (14mm.) A plug similar in construction to the K.L.G.744 has been successfully developed for this engine the difference being in the length of the barrel. This plug is known as the K.L.G.773. Messrs.Lodge have not yet submitted a plug suitable for this engine. Kestrel VI Engines (18.mm.) The only plug which has been repeatedly type-tested with good results on the Kestrel VI is the K.L.G.V9/1. We are now trying two types of Lodge plugs the 12/2 and the X402 with a view to obtaining alternative types in the Lodge range. The correct plug for flight has not yet been ascertained as no service trials have been carried out with these engines but from our limited experience we recommend The K.L.G. V9/1. The A.M. has asked us to try out 14 mm plugs on the Kestrel VI and we are arranging for some inserts to be made to enable us to carry out tests. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. | ||
