RE. PLAY IN PHANTOM LOW SPEED CARBURETTER JET STEM.

There are complaints from EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}'s Dept. of abnormal slackness in the stem of the carb. (low speed jet) resulting in lost movement of the control and enlargement of the jet due to continual vibration.

In looking up the clearances allowed on the drg. we find there is a maximum of .011" clearance.
The bearing E.71730 is - bore .250 + 2
The low speed jet stem E.76077 is .244 - 3 giving a total clearance of :-

Is it possible to lessen this and still keep alignment? We would suggest the stem dia. being brought up to .247 - 2.
