Referring to my note Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}12/NJ1.6.21 to C.(Sales) and my note Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}1/NJ3.6.21 to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, we are now in receipt of a letter from the Dunlop Rubber Co.Ltd., Aston Cross, Birmingham, dated 18th inst. as follows:- "With reference to our recent interview in Birmingham "with Mr.Whitehead and Mr.Bailey and discussion regarding "Straight Side Tyres. We should be glad to know if you have "been able to come to any decision yet in the matter of "making this type of tyre standard equipment in place of "Beaded Edge tyres, for Season 1922. We would strongly "recommend this course to you and shall be happy to "further discuss any points in connection with this "proposal on hearing from you. "We beg to enclose copy of booklet whih gives full "particulars of range of tyres - both Beaded Edge and "Straight Side." The booklet above referred to, entitled "Dunlop Tyres of 1921" is being sent to C.(S). I have written for further copies, which on receipt will be handed to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}& By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Will Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} please say whether he is proceeding with the testing of the six 33" x 5" straight-side cord tyres which the Dunlop Co. forwarded to us on or about 3/6/21.
