X 1180 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Smth.3/KW. 6th June, 1936. Messrs. Ferodo Ltd., Chapel-en-le-Frith. Dear Sirs, We have been pressing Messrs. Borg & Beck for delivery of the modified type of 13 1/2" clutch plate lined with No.6 material, and they tell us that they have severe criticism to offer of the finish and size of the sample facings you supplied to them, and that they can give no deliveries until in receipt of the correct facings. The criticisms offered are that the thickness is very irregular, and in certain instances oversize, and that the finish of the moulded rivet holes is poor. You, of course, appreciate the urgency of the matter from our point of view and we trust that you will do your utmost to give early delivery of satisfactory facings. We should like to hear from you regarding the position at your end. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
