African trip. 34-EX

I have had a letter from Mr. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} B. Browning who went on the above, who says

"In the back of the car there is a ladies companion with mirror, notebook etc. In this notebook there are a series of limericks, which I wrote throughout the trip on the name of the places we passed through. I know Symons would like to make use of some of them in the book you will be preparing, and I want to keep copies of them. Some of them are pretty rude ! Would you be so good as to write to Derby and ask them to forward this note-book. It is the little note-book belonging to the car and is bound in grey leather. I would be awfully obliged if you would do this for me"

If you can do anything in the matter I know you will.
