Copy to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/WST. V6153. LE5/C/3.1.35. WST Re Chassis No. B.47.CW. We have now had an opportunity of testing this car which is fitted with a 6 volt wireless set and we find that the wireless takes 6 amps. This consumption is excessive. I have spoken to Mr. Davis of J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} Barclay, who supplied the set, and pointed out that we do not like the idea of having a 6 volt set on a 12 volt system, which, of course, necessitates a resistance. Perhaps you would like to write to Messrs. J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} Barclay and point out that the consumption is excessive and that their client should be advised accordingly. J.I.L.
