Alterations to friction clutches for 45 HP and 25 HP cars.

I have agreed to the fabric being carried on the disc, but I am not sure that we have the driven disc sufficiently light so as to avoid any increased difficulty of changing gear. Both the L.H. cars, namely, the American made one, and the 1st. English one, seemed rather difficult to change gear. I understand in connection with this alteration that we are using cast iron for the surface rubbing the fabric. Ought we to bring the 25 HP. in line as soon as ever possible, this being one of the changes necessary for the American market. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
