-2- Plan. Non-integral. Bonnet wide at rear but this helps the scuttle, and is demanded by coach-work - short scuttle and pedals. Integral. Combination of bonnet high at rear, (scuttle) wide at rear and deep radiator, altered to make bonnet look shorter. Radiator could be lowered in centre slightly. Say .4 less. I believe this, and thinner radiator, would be good, more because we have increased this very much from our older cars, and Phantom does not heat so much water, saving in weight on front wheels and cost, but height and depth could again be increased slightly. We are obliged to keep the side parallel. If however we drop this point rear also is lower by an increased amount I believe. We must avoid twist in top plates. Not less at rear. Therefore increasing width means increased height. We might build integral shutters without extra tank. Tank same as present production.
