Dear Sir,

With reference to your letter of the 6th inst. for which we thank you, we have examined the drawing, and note that you have succeeded in getting the free-wheel into the existing gearbox. We are submitting your drawing to our designers for their consideration, but as we explained during your representative's visit, unless they are prepared to favour your design in preference to their own design for obtaining an easy change, we do not recommend you to proceed with the scheme for the time being at any rate.

We thank you for the scheme and we will communicate with you when we have Sir Henry Royce's views.

Yours faithfully,

For Rolls-Royce Ltd.
