re. POWERPLUS BLOWER.

We have examined the blower which Messrs Powerplus sent to WW. for you to see.

This arrived just before your departure but unfortunately was put out of sight and escaped notice.

The blower is well finished but there are one or two features of design that could be improved. For example a .312 stud in each corner is inadequate for securing pipes to large rectangular facings approximately 6" X 7".

Also the number of studs in the end covers could be doubled with advantage, and the flanges made lighter in weight.

This blower is the 5.5 litre model No.73., and Messrs Powerplus particularly wish us to use this in preference to the 3.8 litre for supercharging the compression ignition unit, as they say the smaller one is not so efficient due to its excessive length/diameter [handwritten] ratio which makes it difficult to feed.

We have plotted some figures as follows which were supplied to shew the output of the 5.5 litre:-

[Graph Data]
Y-axis label: LBS/ㅁ" [handwritten]
X-axis label: C FT / MIN FREE AIR DELIVERED [handwritten]
Data points on graph: RPM 1620, RPM 2200, RPM 3300 [handwritten]
