PHANTOM STEERING.

With reference to the movement of the steering wheel required to take up all the clearances in the steering column box, please note that the maximum amount measured on the rim of the wheel should be .750". This figure is calculated on the maximum clearances permissible according to the dimensions and limits on our detail drawings in the steering nut and worm, bush for worm nut cage, trunnion on steering nut, and the rocking shaft and its bearings.
