In Mr. Olley's memo. of the 1st. inst. he mentions that they intend to fit rubber pedal pads which have a rubber skirt surrounding the pedal plate. We have tried in the past similar pads to what CY. describes and have not found they were as satisfactory as our present standard pad. We found that as they wear they get loose on the pedals and untidy in appearance. With the modern design of scuttle there is very little room now for the accelerator pedal between the brake pedal and the scuttle. If we have a rubber pad which overhangs the brake pedal it will make this clearance still less. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} RECEIVED E C JUL 31 1920 | ||
