We have tackled the lightening of the torque reaction dampers as the design received was not light enough. We have by doing away with the heavy centre bolt, side plates and spring, reduced the centre plate thickness by half, and got the weight down by 38%. We are using star side spring plates to give us the necessary damping load. When the production of spring plates are known for spring rating, a distance piece can be fitted so that a constant load would be obtained without fear of overloading the spring plates. The dampers are to be fitted to 21-G-IV, but there is no reason, if they are satisfactory, why they should not be applied also to the Bentley. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/G.W.H. GWH{George W.
