On the steering roller follower to F.89444 for use with wraith wheel movement suspension levers on Ph.III. the outer tooth flanks which contact with the cam in the lock positions are narrower than on the standard roller. In order to keep the point of contact between the roller and cam in the middle of the tooth flank it is necessary to alter the angle of the flank from 18° 50' ± 15' as now shewn to 17° 50' ± 15'. This is quite a small amount and moves the contact point 0.030" away from the centre of the roller. We have rig tested a roller with this alteration with satisfactory results and it is fitted to the rebuild of 35-EX. after 20,000 miles test. Will you please alter the drawing to suit.
