Herewith various figures we have taken on various sylphon elements. The figures of the American sylphon filled with Ether are misleading because when a saturated mixture was introduced into the sylphon the element was expanded at atmospheric temperature owing to the spring of the bellows being insufficient to overcome the vapour pressure of the Ether. The quantity of Ether introduced was therefore reduced and the figures obtained are therefore probably not of saturated vapour pressure but merely of the Ether behaving as a gas.
