We send you herewith the new washer for the special filler cap on 26.G.VI and would like you to fit this as soon as convenient retaining the old one as a spare, in case this washer is unsatisfactory in any way. We would be glad if you will give us the water loss figures on the old and new matrix unit fitted to 26.G.VI and any criticisms you may have of the filler cap in operation.

With regard to the curved rubber bottom water connection sent you, you may experience a certain amount of fouling between the copper bottom water pipe and the engine. If you can arrange the connections to get over this please do so as this defect is being corrected on the detail drawings.
