24th March, 1936.

Messrs. Borg & Beck Ltd.,
Tachbrook Rd.,
Leamington Spa.

For the attention of Mr. Barker.

Dear Sirs,

Confirming our telephone conversation of this morning, we have found the 13½" driven plate lined with "Hyco" to be the most satisfactory of any yet tried.

We understand from Mr. Longley of Ferodo's that they make a material called "Ferodo No.6" which is identical with Hyco except for some detail concerning the type of weave. Will you please obtain sufficient of this material to face two driven plates for us. We are returning to you driven plate No. 4 which will do for one of these after cutting horse-shoe slots. You will notice that this plate is rather saucer-shaped.

The second plate will have to be a new one, and we are sending you a hub for this.

A confirmatory order follows.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
