6003 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.9/MH.{M. Huckerby} 3rd. January 1938. Messrs. S.Smith & Sons Ltd., Cricklewood Works, London, N.W.2. For the attention of Mr. Dorer. Dear Sirs, We are to-day returning to you one thermometer to DB.{Donald Bastow - Suspensions}1360 which you have supplied with special small diameter coils to minimise risk of breakage. We require this thermometer to have a capillary 1'6" longer than its present one. Will you please fit it with such a capillary and provide the small diameter coils close up to the bulb. We would like to receive this instrument back with a minimum of delay as it has to be fitted to a car which is going abroad shortly. Our official order will follow immediately. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
