Waller - Head of Chateauroux}2/AP.3.6.37 "Item 2 Starter Motor Modifications arising from Wst's memo Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wst.1/AP.2.4.37" "The following features were to be instructed immediately "for Production:- "(1) A brake was to be fitted on the armature to bring it to rest quickly when thrown out of gear. "(2) Air damper was to be deleted from the armature end." The teeth on the flywheel of 35-EX. were worn evenly all the way round, and not particularly chewed up in any one or more places, and are considered to be in fairly good condition for the mileage.
