To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from BJ. 14-EX and 8-EX Cars. BJ7/E4.6.28

Referring to your Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/LG2.6.28 I understand from PN{Mr Northey} that he has talked over the matter with R who thoroughly understands his point of view, and whilst there is no need to delay the progress of the new springs, it is hoped that, before they are actually introduced to the public, there may be the possibility of somewhat improving their action, in comparison with those on 14-EX.

In the meantime we should like to arrange for the seating accommodation of the body on 14-EX to be made according to our usual Sales standard, and I am asking Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} and PN{Mr Northey} to try to arrange this, bearing in mind of course that the chassis must on no account go to the coachbuilders or be left in a garage or left where it may be seen.

We are glad to hear that we shall be able to test 8-EX with a 14-tooth axle.

BJ.
