'W' SERIES SUBFRAME. X. 8380

We have just attempted to mount the double enclosed 'B' steering limousine built on a subframe, on the chassis 9-PK., which has been modified to suit by the addition of a wider dash and special gear levers.
We understand that there is a bad foul between the subframe and the gear levers. Apparently the body wants to go over towards the near side about ½", and the quadrant fouls the subframe cross member by about 1".
We do not quite know what has happened as apparently your layout which you sent us of this point shews a clearance, although not very much.
We suggest that it may be necessary to make some modifications to get a better clearance at this point on production bodies, and we would like to know what is the state of the 'B' steering hand brake quadrant bracket, and whether we would increase the radius of the quadrant say another 1" so as to lift the pawl and the front end of the quadrant up above the subframe.
As soon as we have any more definite information concerning the foul we will let you know.
