FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} Copy to HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ORIGINAL 'SS{S. Smith}' BATTERY SUSPENSION. X 7536 Herewith we send N. sch. 2743. shewing the revision of the battery suspension, as promised. We are asking for the battery shewn on F75941. Though we have retained this battery we are asking for two parts of the same hand instead of opposite hands as has previously been the case. This is for convenience, but is not essential. There are slight alterations in the holes in the cover. It will be noticed that the position of the battery is considerably different. We have taken the opportunity to modify the construction of the box so as to give us a little more clearance, as we believe that the method of making the top edges without using tubes will be satisfactory, since it seems to answer on Phantom. The position of the tube at the rear is that shewn on the coachbuilders drawings except that we wish to slightly increase the set. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
