Status update on various vehicle units regarding fitment, testing, and modifications.

Chassis this unit is to be brought up to date to specification issued for 15,000 miles trials. The Cylinder Block is to be fitted with short inserts of different classes of material. B.V.No.5.Unit. Allocated for 10.B.V. at present this unit is fitted to 14.B.V. whilst the body is being fitted. B.V.No.6 Unit. This unit has just been removed from 2.B.50 and is to be brought up to specification as issued for test bed work. B.V.No.7 Unit. Fitted in 8.B.V.Chassis. W.III.No.1. This is at present in 3.B.50 at the Coachbuilders and is to be removed when the car arrives back and replaced by B.60.No.4.Unit. W.III No.2. On test Bed with Supercharger. W.III.No.3. Fitted in 24.G.VI. W.III No.4. Test Bed Unit, on test for General Development Work. W.III.No.5. Fitted in 28.G.VI. W.III No.6. Fitted in 27.G.VI. W.III No. 9 Fitted to 2.B.50 Chassis. W.III No.10. At present in 30.G.VII, should be removed and 1.B.80 Unit fitted. B.II.No.4. On test for fitment of short inserts fitted in Cylinder blocks. MISCELLANEOUS. B.V. Gear Box. All Helical. 90% of the instructions have now been issued for 6 gearboxes. This is to be regarded as one of the most urgent jobs we have, any delays are to be brought to the notice of HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} immediately. | ||
