x7961 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}5/KW. 10th November, 1934. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Thompson, Esq., Middleton Hall, Kings Lynn. Dear Mr. Thompson, Thank you for your letter of Nov. 9th. together with the enclosure from Bentley Motors Ltd. As you surmise, the items they mention in their letter are extra to the price of £1460, as the standard Bentley body has only the fitted suitcase luggage accommodation. I am making special arrangements about the room between the seat and the steering wheel, and also the sliding seat fittings to enable easy access to be obtained to the front sears. I am asking our London Office to forward to you some colour panels indicating greys which are slight variations from the car which you actually saw and tried; also upholstery which differs from that on the car in question. If you could make some decision it would relieve me of responsibility in this matter. I hope that Leslie Hawkins will be calling in to see Jim in his Bentley on Sunday, in which case you will have the opportunity of seeing another colour scheme in grey, which I think is very attractive. Yours sincerely, | ||
