Confirming instructions to fit a starter carburettor to D.2 series pieces and produce a special spindle.

STARTER CARBURETTER. -------------------- I wish to confirm your verbal instruction of yesterday afternoon that we should at once instruct the Experimental Department to fit up a starter carburetter to series D.2 pieces. All the parts from the union upwards can be utilised on the present chassis. In addition we must produce a special spindle having the D.2 series diameter of seating, and also having the 6° taper on the spindle. The spindle itself should fit into a present type chassis. We should hold up this spindle on K.2 series, and I will myself arrange the matter with the Works in a manner which will not alarm them. BY.{R.W.
