We were hoping to have been able to have discussed the subject of this chassis and the subframe bodies with you during your visit of yesterday, but circumstances would not permit. We have been held up for now about four weeks waiting for chassis 9 PK. The coachbuilders were pressed to complete the three bodies in spite of all other urgent jobs apparently, as far as they can see, for no real purpose. We shall not again get them to rush work for us so easily for us. Would you kindly wire us the actual day that Barkers will receive the chassis so that we can inform them. As we have only one chassis and three bodies it will be at least nine weeks before we have completed them and delivered them to you, after the receipt of the chassis. We feel very anxious about this body sub-frame experiment as we feel that it may at any moment become "red hot" and we have no more information than we had this time last year. Would you kindly tell us when we can expect to receive the sub-frame for Mr Royce's body as he is making enquiries about the date when he can expect to have the car. EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
