Ry. Rep. Ds. Rep. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Rep. Wbr. Wcr. Br.{T. E. Bellringer - Repair Manager} X775 re Telephone Service between London & Derby. ---------------------------------- From Monday next, November 1st, arrangements have been made for a telephone line to be allotted to us at 3.p.m. for 15 minutes. The object of this is to reduce the large amount we spend on telephone calls from Derby to London and London to Derby; so that this arrangement should cut out all sundry calls during the day. Of course, this line must not be used for anything but really urgent matters, or the period of 15 minutes will elapse before all who have urgent business have had an opportunity of speaking. To make the best use of this time, it should be arranged for everyone who wishes to use the line, to be at one place with all information, at 3.o'clock. It is suggested, to begin with, or until a more convenient place is found, that the calls should be made in "Sn{Mr Sanderson}'s" office. Will you please make arrangements as necessary.
