HH6 To By/NS.{Norman Scott} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FWK. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FWK.21/JH.8.5.39. BENTLEY V REAR ROAD SPRINGS. We have recently tested a modified version of the B.V. rear road spring which was ordered for production. The modification consists of a reduction in thickness of the main leaf and the insertion of an extra thin leaf underneath it. This spring has proved to be far more durable than its predecessor FB.4364. We would therefore suggest that the first 15 pairs of springs have this modification effected upon them. We hope to give you details of the remaining 48 pairs very shortly. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FWK. | ||
