more particularly with the Exide 6EXRE5 batteries, and either
of the two should give excellent service.

They are precisely in accordance with our
up-to-date specification No.301, copy of which we attach
hereto.

Typical high rate discharge curves of the
various batteries mentioned above are given on photostat copy
of sheet T herewith.

The curve of the P & R RR.LL/1 battery does not
appear as good as that for the Exide 6.RRS/1/2. This is
because these curves are taken early in the life of the
batteries and it is known from experience with other P & R
batteries that the P & R curve will increase progressively
for a time, whilst it is not anticipated that the Exide will.

Typical low rate discharge capacity results of
actual discharge through a constant external resistance of
1.17 Ohm are as follows :-

Exide 6DXRE5. 58 ampere-hours. Weight 83 lbs.
Exide 6EXRe/SPL. 57 " " 88 lbs.
P & R BDT.11. 46.0 amp.hours initially,i
increasing to 57.0 amp.hours." 95 lbs.
Accu-Slem. 52.0 ampere-hours after con-
siderable use. Weight 86 lbs.
Lithanode. 46 ampere-hours initially, 92 lbs.
with a tendency to increase.
Fuller Sparta.. .. 109 ampere-hours. " 103&1/2lbs.
Exide 6RRS/1 51 " " 103 lbs.
P & R RR.11. 53 amp.hours initially
with a tendency to increase. " 103 lbs
