Concerns regarding a new design for 40/50 rear road springs and centrepoint lubrication.

X8410 We are rather concerned about the new type main plate for the 40/50 rear road springs which is the only design we have so far received for centrepoint lubrication of this item. In view of the present difficulty with the 40/50 springing, a great number of rear springs are inevitably kept in stock in order to give the Depots a reasonable prospect of dealing with customers complaints. Additionally, we have recently altered the initial camber of both the front and rear springs to drop the car ¼", and this has meant a large addition to the number of springs issued to Depots. We are therefore most reluctant further to increase the types of springs to be stocked unnecessarily. We therefore feel it would be a great advantage if we could retain our present standard main leaf for the rear springs when we come on to centrepoint lubrication, and wonder whether you could let us have a design to fit on 12-EX.
