IN YOUR REPLY PLEASE REFER TO NVR/ESW. 20th December, 1923. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} W. Hives, Esq., Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Limited, Nightingale Road, DERBY. Dear Hives, I had occasion to lunch to-day with a mutual friend of ours - one Neville Minchin - who told me in course of conversation that you were interested in Weyman Bodies, also in Bentley Cars, having so far not had an opportunity of trying the latter. I believe he told you that I had bought a new "BENTLEY" on which I am having a Weyman body, which I am sorry to say has not yet been delivered by the Coachbuilders. However, I am expecting to get delivery during the second week of January, and as I live at present not very far from Derby, I shall have great pleasure in coming over one day to see you with this car which may interest you to see and try. It is a long time since I had the pleasure of seeing any of you good folk, but I know you are all busy, and I do not believe in wasting busy people's time when there is no special call to do so. However, I think that a Weyman on a Bentley will, in this case, perhaps be sufficient excuse. Yours sincerely, Noel van Raalte | ||
