Mr. Fairey's Car.

I believe you are aware that some time ago Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} agreed that in order to please Mr. Fairey we should fit high compression head and improve his brakes. It was left that we should prepare the parts and then get in touch with Lp.{Mr Lappin}, who would arrange for Mr. Fairey's car to come to Derby.

We prepared the brake parts for Mr. Fairey's car and these have been used up for Mr. Thistlewaite's car. The high compression head which we got through has now been handed over for Mr. Horlick's car.

As the proposed modifications to Mr. Fairey's car are perfectly straight forward, we recommend that Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} or the Repair Dept., should look into after this job. We will let them have any parts we have got, but the rest should be obtained from the Works and they will make the necessary arrangements as regards getting hold of the car.
