To Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} γ 560a. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}9/AP.12.1.37. G.A.E.20 Suspension is such a controversial subject that we asked the people who have to satisfy customers at Cricklewood to pass an opinion on GAE.20. They formed the opinion that these parts would help them to please some customers who are at present disgruntled. Experimentally we always find it necessary to try any alteration on two or three different cars in order to get anything approaching a true value for it. You will remember recent experiments on tyre noise. In this case the difference between the experi-mental and standard cars is not great and riding comfort is a notoriously controversial subject. We are therefore inclined to accept Cricklewood's views on the score that they have the most experience of what the customer likes. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
