BENTLEY EXHAUST SYSTEM

The exhaust system for the future production cars can now be released. It is the same as on the first fifteen cars with the following two modifications-

Stronger spring for cut-out operating mechanism to prevent the cut-out rattling - EB.1208.

Tail pipe suspension - springs EB.1134 to be used in place of rubbers.

We are issuing standardisation sheets for these parts.

With reference to the parts that are covered with lagging, material should not be ordered in large quantities; it is proposed shortly to use Staybrite for these parts in place of mild steel. As soon as we have obtained a little more experience on these the material will be changed. The parts in question are the downtake pipe, front expansion box and front intermediate pipe.
